School Meals are Free

KEY NUTRITION POLICIES

Universal Meals Policy

Our Breakfast and Lunch Programs provide every student with access to nutritious, no-cost meals, promoting fairness and equity for all. A meal can only be reimbursed once per student per meal period per federal guidelines. Read the Universal Meals Policy.

What Makes a Complete Meal

Meals are built using a federal meal component system. This ensures each tray offers balanced meals and each student can decide what they want to eat (all while meeting USDA standards).

School Share Table Policy

Students, food service staff and educators can place appropriate food items on a share table, allowing other students to take them. Adults are not allowed to take food from share tables. Share Tables reduce waste and keep kids fed. Read the Share Table Policy.

CEP Benefits Letter

Because our schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all students automatically receive free breakfast and lunch — no meal application needed. Some families may also need a CEP letter to qualify for programs such as free or reduced-cost internet service, exam fee waivers, or other community benefits. Download the CEP Letter.
